Predictive Victory Dynamics Day 1 Guide
Source information reviewed October 12, 2026 · Editorial snapshot
This Predictive Victory Dynamics Day 1 guide covers the two confirmed opening matchups in Genshin Impact: The Mysterious Howl Crew against Little Fungi Clan, and Frostarm and Shaman Formation against Saurians Are the Cutest. Use the matchup checklists to record the evidence behind your prediction, then compare a Victory Emblem allocation before submitting it in-game.
Day 1 refers to the opening round, not necessarily the round currently available when you visit. The match board was verified from the official launch information on October 12, 2026. Team pairings are confirmed; this page does not publish verified winners, live unit statistics, or measured win probabilities.

Predictive Victory Dynamics Day 1 matchups
The opening board identifies Round of 16 — Group A and these two pairings:
The Mysterious
Little
Frostarm and
Shaman Formation
Saurians Are
the Cutest
Before using either analysis, confirm that the same pairing appears in your event interface. Later rounds can contain different teams and scoring information. Keep the opening-round record separate from subsequent predictions.
A team name identifies the matchup; it does not describe every unit, skill, or targeting rule. Open the actual unit panels before choosing a side.
Match 1: The Mysterious Howl Crew vs Little Fungi Clan
For this pairing, start with the displayed units on both sides. Avoid choosing the Howl Crew because its name sounds threatening or dismissing the Fungi because their appearance seems less dangerous. Those impressions do not establish a combat advantage.
What to record before making a pick
- Attack and health: Record the displayed ATK and Max HP for each unit. Compare individual roles rather than relying only on a total for the team.
- Skills: Note what each listed skill actually does. Look for damage, defensive effects, control, or support only when the description confirms them.
- Starting positions: Identify exposed units and the distance between opposing groups. Check any available targeting information.
- Important targets: Ask whether either side can reach a unit whose removal would weaken the opposing formation.
Separate observations from interpretations. “The panel lists a defensive skill” is an observation; “that skill will let this team survive the opening exchange” is an interpretation that may still be uncertain.
What would change your assessment?
If your pick depends on an attacker reaching a particular target, unclear targeting should reduce your confidence. If it depends on a skill activating early, check whether the interface provides information about that timing. Do not fill a missing rule with assumptions from ordinary encounters elsewhere in Genshin.
Write a short rationale before allocating Emblems. For example: “I prefer this side because of the displayed skill interaction, but its ability to reach the key target is unclear.” This records a reason and a limitation without presenting an invented win percentage as evidence.
Match 2: Frostarm and Shaman Formation vs Saurians Are the Cutest
This matchup requires the same evidence discipline, applied to the units shown here. The word “Shaman” does not prove that a unit provides healing, buffs, or a specific control effect in this simulation. Likewise, the Saurians’ team name does not establish their movement speed or damage.
What to record before making a pick
First, read the Frostarm and Shaman units’ skill panels. If a listed ability supports another unit, identify that relationship and check whether the supported unit is positioned to benefit. If the description does not establish a support role, leave that role unconfirmed.
Then inspect the opposing Saurians’ listed attacks, health, skills, and starting positions. Ask whether the displayed information supports an ability to reach an important opposing unit. Do not assume they can bypass a formation unless the rules or skills provide that evidence.
Finally, compare durability with damage and skill effects. A larger HP value can matter, but it does not settle how the battle will unfold.
What would change your assessment?
Reconsider a pick if its explanation requires an unverified support effect, movement rule, or target priority. Treat unclear information as uncertainty rather than a reason to make the prediction more precise.
Keep the combat assessment separate from scoring. The side with a larger displayed winning multiplier is not automatically the stronger team. Use the multiplier to compare allocation outcomes after forming your tentative matchup judgment.
How to choose a Day 1 prediction
For each match, make a small evidence record before following other players’ choices:
| Record | What to write |
|---|---|
| Tentative pick | The side you currently prefer |
| Strongest evidence | A specific displayed statistic, skill, or position |
| Main uncertainty | The missing detail that could change your choice |
| Scoring input | The winning multiplier currently shown in-game |
Support Rate and win probability are different inputs. Player support does not establish a team’s measured chance of winning. If you use the planner’s probability field, enter your own estimate and keep it labeled as an assumption.
When evidence is limited, compare several plausible estimates instead of trusting one exact percentage. The wider the range of reasonable outcomes, the less certainty your allocation comparison provides. The prediction strategy guide explains the general framework in more detail.
Day 1 Victory Emblem allocation example
The following numbers are hypothetical. They are not the available Day 1 budget, current multipliers, or recommendations for either team.
Assume a budget of 200 Emblems and one selected side in each of the two matches:
| Allocation | Emblems | Your assumed win probability | Assumed winning multiplier | Expected score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Match 1 selected side | 120 | 55% | 2.5 | 165 |
| Match 2 selected side | 60 | 40% | 3 | 72 |
The plan assigns 180 Emblems, leaves 20 unassigned, and has a modeled expected score of 237. Its all-win score is 480.
The calculation is allocated Emblems × assumed win probability × winning multiplier. The probabilities belong to separate matches; they do not need to add up to 100%.
This simplified model assumes losing allocations receive zero and ignores any additional bonus, refund, or rounding rules. Expected score is an average under your assumptions, not a promised result. Replace every example value with your own budget, estimate, and displayed multiplier in the Victory Emblem Planner.
Day 1 deadline and confirmation checklist
The official notice describes 24-hour prediction windows. Check the Day 1 countdown in your game; a website timer derived from the opening time is only an estimate. Once that window closes, an old Day 1 page should not be treated as guidance for the next round.
Before leaving the event screen:
- Confirm that you are viewing the intended round and pairing.
- Recheck your available Emblems and displayed multipliers.
- Review both allocations and any unassigned amount.
- Submit the prediction in Genshin Impact; the website cannot do this for you.
- Save a dated note of your picks and reasoning for later review.
The official notice states that participation rewards for a round become unavailable after its prediction deadline. Consult the reward guide for the distinction between participation and score-based goals.
Day 1 frequently asked questions
Who wins the two opening matches?
No verified winner is published on this page. The confirmed pairings and evidence checklists help you make a reasoned prediction; settled outcomes belong on the results page.
Should I put every Emblem on the most popular team?
Popularity alone is insufficient evidence. Compare the displayed lineup and scoring information, then assess the uncertainty behind your pick. The permitted allocation options must be checked in-game.
Can I use this guide for a later round?
Its detailed checklists address the opening pairings. The general method can help with later matches, but you must replace the teams, statistics, skills, and multipliers with that round’s information.
Does my character build affect these matchups?
You inspect simulated teams rather than fielding your own characters. If you cannot access the event, check its participation requirements in the how-to-play guide.
Why can a reasonable pick still lose?
Incomplete information and uncertain interactions can make the outcome differ from your expectation. Review the recorded evidence after settlement; preserve your original prediction instead of rewriting it as a successful pick.
